Hey everyone! I’m Amelia L., and I work as an EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Analyst in the manufacturing world.
- What I do / my current role:
- I partner with operations and quality teams to reduce risk, drive compliance, and improve safety performance.
- My day-to-day includes incident trend analysis, root cause investigations, risk assessments (JHAs), and developing practical controls that keep people safe while supporting productivity.
- I’m also involved in training, audits, and implementing standardized work and visual management for EHS.
- What I’m hoping to gain from the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program:
1. Stronger problem-solving tools
2. Waste reduction in processes
3. Data-driven decision making
4. Standardization and sustainability: Build robust SOPs, 5S, and visual controls that lock in safety and quality gains across shifts and lines.
5. Cross-functional impact: Improve collaboration between EHS, production, maintenance, and quality to streamline workflows, reduce downtime, and enhance first-pass yield.
6. Measurable results: Translate improvements into tangible outcomes—fewer incidents, lower defect rates, shorter cycle times, and cost savings—while strengthening our safety culture.
