What motivated you to join this program?
As a Chief Petty Officer in the Navy, leadership is centered on developing both competence and character—within ourselves and within the Sailors we lead. I was motivated to join the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program because it provides structured, data-driven tools that help leaders identify inefficiencies, solve problems at the root cause, and improve organizational performance. In my role as an Enlisted Leadership Development Course Facilitator, I work with Sailors who are transitioning into positions of greater responsibility. I believe that learning Lean Six Sigma principles will strengthen my ability to mentor them by modeling analytical thinking, continuous improvement, and disciplined decision-making. Ultimately, I see this program as an opportunity to enhance my leadership effectiveness while contributing to mission readiness and organizational excellence.
