Self intro
Hello everyone. My name is Kathi Ghannam. You'll find my answers to the questions regarding course participation below, but first, a quick intro.
I’m a former United States Army Reserve Officer with more than 24 years of experience in strategic communications and project management on behalf of various Department of Defense and Intelligence Community programs as a contractor and federal employee.
In each environment I have worked in, I have been responsible for taking complex topics and conveying them to diverse internal and external audiences in understandable, plain language.
I look forward to meeting some new people and learning some new things.

- Why are you taking this course right now?
I’m a life-long learner. Though I haven’t been in a formal learning environment for a WHILE, I am constantly in info seeking mode.
I’ve considered LSS for years. Want to understand all the hub bub. I’m way over due for a structured learning experience.
- What outcome do you want in the next 3–6 months?
I expect I’ll possess the tools to immediately identify, strategize and implement on-going process and product improvement activities.
When I see improvement opportunities now, I’m left to my own devices to discover/create manual, rudimentary ways to research, create, deploy, trouble shoot, track ways to enhance product value for users.
- Who does this impact besides you?
Theoretically, everyone I interface with, but most importantly, my daughter, my mom – for whom I’m a primary caregiver, and all future government customers.
