Hello, everyone!

Greetings — my name is Aric Burton, and I go by Ace. It’s pronounced like Eric but spelled with an A; the nickname started because it became increasingly annoying when colleagues tried to figure out which Eric they were talking to.

I’m an Army veteran with 14 years of active duty service: seven years as a Military Policeman and seven as a Counterintelligence Special Agent. I recently separated as a Sergeant First Class (E‑7) about four and a half months ago. Why not serve the last six years to retire? Have you seen the current state of the world? No thanks.

I’m currently employed at L3Harris Technologies and enjoying the transition to civilian life. I enrolled in this course after several colleagues recommended it, and I reflected on how it could help me in my new role.

Over the next 3–6 months, I plan to apply what I learn to improve productivity and efficiency. I expect those improvements to benefit not only my own work but also teams across my organization by reducing waste and creating small, positive ripples throughout our sector.

I’m looking forward to the course and to networking with you all.
