Why are you taking this course right now?
Hello everyone. My name is Jared Cruz and I am currently Active-duty Navy finishing up my last year before retirement. I had never heard of Lean Six Sigma until a couple of weeks ago when a civilian coworker told me I should look into obtaining Lean Six Sigma Green/Black belt before I retire. A week later I saw that this course was being offered for free, so I signed up immediately. I am looking forward to learning a lot about this methodology, reducing defects, increasing output, and applying all the skills toward business management when I transition from the military.
What outcome do you want in the next 3-6 months?
The outcome I want in the next 3-6 months is to complete this certification and work toward the next level. I also plan to finish my bachelor’s degree in business management and completing additional certifications or apprenticeships to better myself in preparation for a smooth transition from military to civilian life.
