Day 1 Recap & What’s Next – Lean Six Sigma Green Belt

Hello everyone,

Great work tonight kicking off Day 1 of our Lean Six Sigma Green Belt cohort.

We focused on the Define phase, setting the foundation for your project and understanding how to clearly define problems, customers, and outcomes.

Homework (Before Tomorrow’s Session):

Please review:

• “Mr. Pepperoni Pizza” case study

• “Your Project” file (Project Case Study file)

You will use these in conjunction with Day 1 – Activity 2 (Project Charter).

Inside your Day 1 materials, you will find:

• The Project Charter template

• An exemplar showing what a strong project should look like

Take time to review both so you are ready to apply them.

What to Expect Tomorrow:

At the start of class, you will:

• Break into breakout rooms

• Begin building your Project Charter

• Apply insights from the Pizza case study and exemplar

From there, we will transition directly into the Measure phase, where you will begin working with metrics and data.
