My name is Ashlier Cruz, I am currently an Active Duty Soldier in the U.S. Army with over seven years of service. I serve as the Alternate Senior Information Technology Specialist for my battalion, where I manage a variety of platforms and communication systems to ensure seamless communication flow throughout our area of operations. Additionally, I support multiple Expeditionary Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities (CEMA) Teams (ECT) to help ensure their success in every mission.
Previously, I served as a Cybersecurity Professional in Alaska, where my team and I provided Information Assurance to over 3,000 enlisted personnel, officers, and Department of Defense civilians. We worked to guarantee confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information across the installation.
With an ETS date approaching in the next 25 months, I am actively preparing for my next career step while maximizing professional development opportunities. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and recently completed graduate coursework for a Master of Science in Information Security Management from Augusta University. I am committed to further expanding my cybersecurity and management expertise through additional courses and certifications, including Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Project Management Professional (PMP), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), among others, to enhance both my knowledge and career.
