Introduction – April 2026 Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Cohort
Hello everyone,
My name is Osman Lima. I currently serve as a Master Gunnery Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps, where I have spent the past 25 years leading teams in high-risk operational environments focused on safety, training, and operational effectiveness.
I am based in Murrieta, California, and I will be retiring from the Marine Corps in April 2026. As I transition into the civilian workforce, I am pursuing opportunities in Environmental Health & Safety, operations leadership, and risk management, where I can apply my experience improving processes, managing complex operations, and developing high-performing teams.
I joined the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt program to strengthen my ability to analyze processes, reduce inefficiencies, and implement data-driven improvements within organizations. Continuous improvement has always been a key part of military operations, and I’m excited to learn how these structured methodologies can be applied in business and industry.
One professional goal I hope to achieve from this course is to gain practical tools for process improvement that I can use to help organizations improve safety, efficiency, and operational performance.
I look forward to learning from all of you and hearing about your professional backgrounds and experiences.
Best regards,
Osman Lima
