Hi everyone, I’m Lytashia. My background is in federal service, where I’ve spent my career working in operations, leadership, and problem solving in some pretty structured, high accountability environments. I’ve served in the Air Force, worked in contracting, and now serve in a leadership role with the Coast Guard. A lot of my work has involved managing complex processes, coordinating across teams, and figuring out how to keep important work moving, even when things get messy.
I’m taking this course because I’m at a point in my career where I’m hoping to transition into more mission driven work, ideally with a nonprofit or values driven organization. I’d love to bring my experience into a space where strong operations and meaningful purpose really go hand in hand.
Lean Six Sigma feels like a natural fit for me because I already love making systems work better, asking why something is done a certain way, and gently questioning processes that seem to exist just because no one has touched them in 12 years. I’m excited to learn, grow, and hopefully leave this course with tools I can use to make a real impact.
