TAKE YOUR CERTIFICATION Pathway
LEAN SIX SIGMA YELLOW BELT
The Yellow Belt Certification Exam validates a learner’s understanding of foundational Lean Six Sigma concepts, terminology, and basic process improvement principles. This exam is designed for students who are beginning their Lean Six Sigma journey and want to demonstrate readiness to support improvement teams. Successful completion shows that the learner understands the basics of DMAIC, waste reduction, customer-focused improvement, and how Lean Six Sigma is used to strengthen processes and business performance.
LEAN SIX SIGMA GREEN BELT
The Green Belt Certification Exam assesses a learner’s ability to apply Lean Six Sigma tools within real-world process improvement projects. Students demonstrate knowledge of DMAIC, data collection, root cause analysis, improvement planning, and control strategies. Successful completion shows that the learner is prepared to support or lead improvement projects, analyze process performance, reduce waste, and contribute to measurable organizational results.
LEAN SIX SIGMA BLACK BELT LVL 1:
The Black Belt Level 1 Certification Exam evaluates advanced Lean Six Sigma knowledge and readiness for higher-level project leadership. This exam focuses on a learner’s ability to understand complex process problems, apply DMAIC tools, interpret data, identify root causes, recommend improvements, and sustain results. Successful completion demonstrates that the learner is prepared to lead structured improvement efforts and support stronger decision-making across teams and organizations.
BLACK BELT LVL 2: Choose your specality
The Black Belt Level 2 pathway allows learners to choose a specialized project designation that aligns with their career goals, industry, or area of professional interest. Students select a focused pathway such as Hospital Patient Experience, Business Operations, Manufacturing Quality, or Supply Chain & Logistics. As part of this level, learners complete a required second Continuous Improvement Project to demonstrate advanced application of Lean Six Sigma tools, leadership, data-driven problem solving, and measurable process improvement within a focused specialty area.
