Intro
Hello everyone. Firstly, I'd like to say thanks to everyone at Star Global College for making this learning opportunity possible. My name is Ryan & I'm a Navy veteran and currently based in the Chicago area. I served in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Aviation) during my time in the Navy. I relocated to Chicago a few years after my time in the Navy (2019ish). Since that time, I've completed my Bachelor's in UX and obtained a blend of work experience that spans Technical Reporting & IT, Sales, a brief but valuable stint in Product Management, & a return to IT in my current role in the Public Sector w/ the EPA. I'm navigating a sort of inflection point in my professional career that has led me to pursue grad school soon, as my interests have both matured and evolved over the last few years. I'm targeting Accounting or MBA programs to ideally, position myself as more of a multi-dimensional contributor. Having gone through some Scrum & Agile trainings in the past, I'm hoping to build upon that foundational knowledge, along with my practical experience by getting more familiar with the LSS methodologies and ultimately, strategically leveraging my experience towards the next chapter in my professional career. Since my separation from the Navy, I've learned a lot but my post military career trajectory still remains a work in progress. I look forward to connecting and learning alongside everyone in their respective journey.
